At Lame Horse Instruments, we specialize in building truly custom guitars—crafted with a vision at the center of every detail. We invite you to be involved throughout the entire process, from sharing your musical style, preferences, and inspirations, to selecting materials and establishing a design theme.
Collaboration can take place online or, for the most immersive experience, in person at Lame Horse Headquarters. A shop visit allows you to see our craftsmanship firsthand, and connect directly with the builders behind your instrument.
We believe that once you get to know the us—our approach, our standards, and our passion for creating exceptional instruments—you’ll understand what sets Lame Horse apart. Our goal is not just to build a guitar, but to create something truly special that, in your hands, is capable of producing music like few guitars on the planet.

WHERE TO FIND US
Where To Find Us
Where can you find and try a Lame Horse Guitar? There are a few opportunities. We have a very few select dealers around the world who may have a guitar for sale that may be tried out. Those instruments are found in our AVAILABLE INSTRUMENTS section of the website, and some information on some of those dealers who most often have instruments, is listed in this section. Also, we sometimes attend exhibitions of acoustic instruments around the globe. When we do, we will announce those exhibitions here in advance of the event.
